Designer

Hello, I’m Fiona Alexander, a sewing pattern designer based in Edinburgh.

I’ve loved sewing and textiles for as long as I can remember—my mother taught me at 8 years old, and it’s been part of my life ever since. After living in Sydney and spending 13 years in London, I’m now back in Scotland creating designs inspired by a lifelong passion for fabric and design.

I create small-batch, sustainable clothing using a mix of pre-loved, vintage, and new fabrics—giving materials a second life through thoughtful, modern design.

My PDF sewing patterns are designed to be stylish, practical, and the majority are beginner-friendly. After launching in 2021, my work was recognised at the British Sewing Awards, where I won three awards, including two for Best Eco-Friendly Product.

Many of my patterns include options for upcycling existing clothes and textiles, helping you sew more sustainably.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything I create. I hope you enjoy making and wearing these designs.

We love sewing with beautiful and interesting fabrics and have created easy to follow sewing patterns, many with an environmental focus on reusing existing natural textiles to reduce excessive manufacturing, the release of plastic microfibres into our oceans and landfill
