Have fun with this pattern turning sleeves of shirts or jackets into super-cute trousers for young children.

Benefit from the often lovely professional tailoring of cuffs and add amazing buttons or leave as they are.

These are relatively quick to make and addictive, once you start, you can’t stop making them!

There is lots of opportunity to add your own creative touches like replacing the buttons with super fun ones or adding trimmings, pockets or appliqués.

  • Elastic waistband so comfortable to wear and no buttonholes or zippers to sewEnvironmentally friendly - uses existing shirt or jacket sleeves

  • Step-by-step instructions with photos and illustrations

  • Ages 1- 6 (pattern is provided for ages 5 and 6 but these will require a XXL shirt/jacket)

  • PDF US Letter or A4 Print at Home Pattern plus option for A0 Printing

  • Includes a one page Quick Guide

  • Confident Beginner level

A pattern for ages 5 and 6 is provided but please note, you will need a XXL shirt (17" collar or bigger) or jacket for these sizes and the trousers might be a little shorter than ankle length but this can be cute.

Please send us photos of your creations for the Wall of Fame section on our website.

Suit jackets are not as wide as work shirts at the top of the arm so if making age 4, 5 or 6, please check the jacket arm is wide enough at the top of the sleeve before cutting or thrift shop purchase.

The product photos include the first three pages of the pattern with more information on sizing and materials required.

This is a Digital Download PDF Pattern and Instructions. You do not receive a physical product. On purchase, you will be able to immediately download the product and will also receive an email with a link to the download.

The Pattern Instructions and the Pattern Pages can be printed on a home printer (on A4 or US letter paper). For this pattern, you also receive the Pattern Pages in A0 format.

For cyber security, the download attached to the email is available for 24 hours but if you attempt to download it after this period then an email is automatically sent to you with a new link.
